Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense Rev2 is an AI-enabled, finger-size development board, assembled with various sensing modules and BLE functions, programmable by both Arduino and Python. It provides great convenience for the realization of Embedded AI and IoT.

Description



Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense Rev2 is an AI-enabled, finger-size development board, built upon the nRF52840 microcontroller, assembled with various sensing modules, carrying Bluetooth Low Energy wireless capability, which can be programmed by both Arduino and Python. It provides great convenience for the realization of Embedded AI and IoT, which can be your great learning tool.


Built around the nRF52840 processor for 64MHz operation, 256 KB SRAM and 1MB flash, it runs on Arm® Mbed™ OS, offering embedded AI processing ability and Bluetooth wireless capability. Supported by Arduino official libraries and programmable by verified MicroPython via OpenMV IDE, this board brings a great development experience for you.


Additionally, this board integrates multiple sensing modules and chips, to implement motion detection through two IMUs, audio capturing and analyzation, digital proximity, and ambient light measurement, RGB colors and gestures detection, 24-bit pressure data output between 260 to 1260 hPa, temperature and humidity detection within 0.2 °C accuracy.


Whether realizing embedded AI or the Internet of Things, whether learning fundamental Machine Learning theories or directly deploying for practical purposes, this development board for all developers' levels will help beginners get quickly started with electronics and help advancers implement delicate smart projects. FAQ



1. What is the difference between Rev1 and Rev2?


There has been some changes in the sensor between both revisions:


  • Replacement of IMU from LSM9DS1 (9 axis) for a combination of two IMUs (BMI270 - 6 axis IMU and BMM150 - 3 axis IMU).

  • Replacement of temperature and humidity sensor from HTS221 for HS3003.

  • Replacement of microphone from MP34DT05 to MP34DT06JTR.



Additionally some components and the changes have been done in order to improve the experience of the users:

  • Replacement of power supply MPM3610 for MP2322.

  • Addition of VUSB soldering jumper on the top side of the board.

  • New test point for USB, SWDIO and SWCLK.



2. Do I need to change my sketch used in the previous revision?


For sketches done using the libraries like LSM9DS1 for the IMU or HTS221 for the temperature and humidity sensor, for the new revision this libraries must be changed to Arduino_BMI270_BMM150 for the new combined IMU and Arduino_HS300x for the new temperature and humidity sensor.
